Mary's pneumonia

After going to church on Sunday, DEcember 7, Mary continued to feel very sick.  I called for help around midnight and after checking me out the responding team took me to St Mary's hospital where I was admitted with double pneumonia.  Poor Beth, she now had the VA for Tom and St. Mary's for me.  This kept her on the road constantly.  Fortunately she is now retired. Mary came home on December 11cured of her pneumonia.

toms fall

ON or about Novermber 17 , tom fell in the bathroom and after calling for help.  He was checked out and taken to St. Mary's hospital where it was determined he had broken his hip and femma.  He was admitted for surgery the next morning.  That   in itself was scary.  I called Charlie Maddaus who called Beth who was still in Maine.  She arrived the next day after he had survived the surgery.  God is so good.  After three days he was transferred to the VAfor REHAB. Beth was constanlly on call and managed us through many rough days.  Charles Thomas and family had planned to arrive on NOv. 21 and decided to still come to see Tom.  We  a lovely two days of visiting and touring Grand Junction area.  Tom continued to improve and we expect him back at Solstice tomorrow, December 18.
